Kanye West Louis Vuitton Don

In 2009, long before friends and former colleagues Virgil Abloh and Pharrell Williams became the label's Men's Creative Director, Kanye West already worked with Louis Vuitton on a signature sneaker. The self-proclaimed Louis Vuitton Don was always at the forefront of merging street fashion with high fashion, and the French fashion house was long on his list as a potential future collaborator if not an employer.

Ye and LV collaborated on two sneaker silhouettes. One, aptly named the Louis Vuitton Don, is a mid-top sneaker with a leather upper and suede paneling. While the collaboration was short-lived, it did show Ye's promise as a footwear designer, which he later fulfilled with Nike and Adidas.
